Hacked out of $1700 via Zelle Account Scam page 2023
I’ve been insane for the previous three hours. I awoke at 10 a.m. to find a $1700 Zelle payment to someone I didn’t know made at 9 a.m. When I contacted, Chase began an investigation.
I did some more digging and discovered a deleted email in my Yahoo Trash folder stating that this person had been added to my zelle recipient list. My computer has also been restarted. (I always leave it on all the time.)
I have two-factor authentication enabled on EVERYTHING, so I suspected Chrome Remote Desktop and public wifi at a new job I recently started. I reset all of my passwords, including those for Yahoo, Google (remote desktop), and Microsoft (for Edge)
I finally had time to relax and go over my Windows event viewer records. When I connected now, it plainly displayed the Chrome remote desktop via Applications logs and even identified my device, IP, time, and everything. At this point, I’m not sure if they conducted a factory reset or removed the logs, or if any of these things is even feasible. I believe they just had access to my yahoo mail and gmail accounts, and my password for Chase was most likely the same. (I erased all stored passwords from Edge and will never use them again, hahaha) I believe the hacker used 2fa but email 2fa for all three and then removed all of the emails from both the inbox and trash bin except the Zelle Recipient email, which they just deleted from the inbox. I just removed my email address from all three services; chase, gmail, and yahoo will now need to text or contact me with the code.

CANDID ADVICE
Nothing suggests a “master hacker,” simply update your password on Zelle and your email to something really secure, and enable 2FA, and the event viewer logs appear normal.
Though the Malwarebytes results alarm me, you should perform additional scans with Hitmanpro and ESET online scanners, as well as be familiar with the basic malware vectors.

No, I’m not sure what it is; I tried googling but had no results.
I just don’t get how no alerts were triggered, which is why I assumed it was a master hacker lol.
If it was done with Chrome Remote Desktop and access to my machine, wouldn’t it have appeared in Event Viewer logs? Is it possible to erase or change the logs in Windows 10? What if they restored the system? (since my PC was restarted) Would they be able to access remote desktop through a blunder on my part using public wifi? Perhaps a saved token?

Could you please clarify what you believe occurred in this case? Do you believe they used remote desktop to access my PC and then deleted the logs? That’s the only option my stupid brain can think of, but wiping logs doesn’t appear to be an option, so I’m completely stumped.
