There is no passcode on the phone or pin on the money apps. Jesus. It’s a good thing it was just 500.

Don’t be concerned about anything else if you’ve been made whole.

Be thankful that your bank ate it.

Use the PIN option, keep the account locked, and avoid remaining logged in.

A criminal complaint would have to be filed. Yes, it will result in a negative balance on the sender’s account. I concur; file a police report. It could be useful in the future.

The latter is possibly more relevant because CashApp is based in the United Kingdom.

After filing these two complaints, I was able to pay out my account at my bank. I’m not sure if that’s why, but it can’t hurt, and their support isn’t going to assist you.
