This has been going on for a few months, and they don’t appear to be able to move funds to other banks. It does not work, and I am unable to contact anyone about it. They were fantastic for me a few years ago, but have since declined. I’m attempting to use a local credit union, but they don’t appear to be designed for joint accounts. There is no such thing as “best,” only “best for you.” Any bank can do this for you, and anyone that claims to offer the “greatest” service when service levels vary considerably from region to region or even branch to branch is not being completely honest with you.
Personally, I’d go with a bank that has a branch in your region. You may need to walk into the bank from time to time to conduct unique transactions or solve unusual problems. That is difficult with internet-only banking.
Consider Umpqua Bank. They are about to double in size after merging with Colombia Bank.
Best is a subjective term.
Someone who wants an account primarily for saving will have different requirements than someone who travels frequently.
