I have formally filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Finance Bureau. We should hear from them soon.
Keep in touch and don’t give up! When they were on consumer finance’s back virtually every day regarding cash app, someone here got money back.
Have you tried calling the SMS assistance number? Thank you for informing me about the investigation in your other thread.
Cash App should be shut down and penalized for all of the money they’ve taken and more… for real.
This is why I rarely use my account, Jesus. CashApp deactivated my account and stole my funds, what do i do?
Yeah, I removed Cash App today after getting conned out of $225 by a local business owner called A+ CNA Training in Jacksonville FL, and when I contacted Cash App, they were as worthless as a bag of rocks.
I simply phoned my bank and requested a chargeback; I’m sure I’ll be blacklisted from the Cash App, but I couldn’t care less at this moment.
Your bank will be far more sympathetic to scammers than greedy. Cash App FTC Uninsured
Why do you have two Cashapp accounts? One is technically mine, however it is utilized for bills due to the account it is linked to. Both accounts are completely confirmed and run on separate devices. If I have ten accounts, it shouldn’t matter if one of them is glitching and taking money. In addition to not replying to individuals for months and denying refunds. Individuals are more vocal about it on Twitter, and I can link to some conversations of people having the same problems with the Cash App.
I call BS on this; for some reason, there have been many posts recently spreading FUD about Cash App.
That exactly sounds like cashapp! I like how they cancel accounts without explanation and never allow you open new ones. The world’s worst customer service.
Goodbye, CashApp, and I hope you all deleted your accounts as well.
CANDID ADVICE
This message is intended to raise awareness, but it is also the only method for me to express my displeasure with CashApp’s unbelievably harsh customer support.
My account has been locked three times for fraud. Based on other posts here, I believe this is due to their AI reporting my account. I enjoy CashApp because it makes it easy to send a few thousand dollars after paycheck for simple expenditures like petrol and Starbucks, as well as to pay my half of a supper out. I don’t do anything else with the app.
There is no fraudulent activity on my account. Their AI is terrible. I went to acquire gas with only my cash card, which was denied. My most recent transaction was for McDonald’s three days ago. What has happened since then? Nothing.
When I called customer service the last time, they told it was because I was attempting a purchase with an unfamiliar retailer or because the merchant conducts transactions in foreign currency. BS. Every week, I fill up at the same Quick Trip. When I respectfully conveyed this to the customer service representative, he began yelling at me, claiming that was the reason and that I was lying. I asked if he could tell me what the fraudulent activity was so that I could ensure the security of my information. He got off the phone with me.
The third time is the clincher. I’m going to delete my account. Their AI fraud detection is ineffective, and their customer service is ludicrous. Thank you. I recommend that you explore elsewhere for convenient P2P transactions. CashApp deactivated my account and stole my funds, help me.
Thank you for your time!

CANDID RESPONSE
The AI that runs security is continually watching, and not just your financial variables are considered.
Usually, no human understands exactly “why” the AI does a specific action, and even if they do, they aren’t authorised to tell you what the “security policy” normal SOP is.
If they told people too much, it would help people keep ahead of the AI’s evolution.
Then people might panic out about how much the AI knows, and how complete the panopticon is.
all the surveillance data that is secretly shared and aggregated between credit reporting / banking risk management services, government / tax / law enforcement / natSec TLAs, apps, ISPs, mobile carriers, internet advertising / social media, and other private companies, including email/browser keywords, your social graphs, location data, video feeds, licence plate readers / facial recognition, communications metadata, and so on.
So, if you are associated in any way to unsafe business, such as firearms, an ex-con, gambler, stoner, or sex worker (foot photos, onlyFans, etc), these are all red signs, regardless of whether they are entirely legal and ethical.
Or financially dangerous, with overdrawn bank accounts and rent arrears.
or no consistent paycheck, gig economy, or on benefits, other symptoms of poverty, grey-market money, etc.
There will be more red flags there; a straight, rich taxpaying wage slave will be given a lot more leeway.
That could be why the AI terminated your account.
So it’s not “random,” and you probably know why better than anyone else at CA.
This was mentioned in another post. It irritated me. It appears to be unlawful.
I make six figures, have excellent credit, and am not associated with anything risky ffs. If you ask me, this is nonsense.
That’s why you’re shifting a few of thousand dollars in one large sum every pay cycle. If you did it frequently enough in a regular bank, your account would be flagged as well.
Also, the gas claim is true. It may have been a skimmer, or the gas station could be utilising illegal means. You have the option of filing a complaint with your state.
It should not be. This is something I’ve been doing for two years. I simply used a gas station as an example. They disabled my account. Every transaction is turned down. It makes no difference.
This occurred to a friend of mine not long ago. It abruptly stopped allowing him to log in.
Support informed him that he had wired payments to a “suspect” source, but they were unable to provide him with any specifics for some reason.
I honestly don’t understand why they continue to abuse people.
Simply use PayPal. I’m not sure why people use venmo or cashapp. They closed my account six times after the first time they told me I could start another with a new bank account and number, which I did, but as soon as I proved my identity, they closed shop. I know folks who were shut down once, made a new one, and have been using that new one for over a year; they just don’t seem to like ME. I despise cash apps; they’re terrible. CashApp deactivated my account and stole my funds, bad criminals .
